Our creative community prides itself on overcoming obstacles and engineering ad-hoc solutions, and the world has come to expect this of us. Toni Morrison once said “We so love the idea of the struggling artist that we enfranchise not the artist, but the struggle. In fact, we insist on it.”

Artists are the fabric of our local communities and our economy. The arts and culture sector in the US generates more than $1 trillion annually, 4.4% of the national GDP. Artists are at the center of this sector and deserve to see this value returned to us.
We believe that our creative ingenuity, alongside our flexibility, resourcefulness, and entrepreneurial spirit can be activated to better sustain not just our artistic lives but also our financial ones.
Working alongside incredible artist partners including Chicago Arts Census, Guilded, and The Field, and with early investment from the Mellon Foundation, we are building tools to transform our relationship with money.
